Keynote Lieutenant Robert Hayes
Robert Hayes is a nationally recognized speaker who has worked in law enforcement for over thirty years and is currently a Lieutenant with the Albany, Oregon Police Department. As a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), he is trained to recognize impairment in drivers under the influence of drugs other than, or in addition to, alcohol. As a leader and skilled law enforcement professional, he embraces transparency and communicates openly with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain collaborative partnerships, develop solutions to problems and increase trust in police. Lt. Hayes will review the seven drug categories, address current drug trends among youth, provide information on signs and symptoms of drug impairment, and discuss case studies involving DABS and drug impairment via vape pens.

Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Agent Tyler Kroenke is an Investigator for the Nebraska State Patrol. He has been on the Patrol for over 11 years. Currently he is assigned to the DEA Tactical Diversion Squad as a Task Force Officer where his primary focus is investigating crimes pertaining to the diversion of illicit pharmaceutical controlled substances. Other assignments include investigating drug overdose deaths and dark net investigations.

The cost for the conference is $55 for SCIP affiliated schools and agencies and $65 for non-SCIP affiliated schools and agencies. Pre-registration is required. The deadline for registration is March 17th.
