SCIP's 2026 "Hop, SCIP, Jump, and Run" 1 Mile Fun-Run and Community Awareness Event!
The 2026 “Hop, SCIP, Jump, and Run” event welcomed nearly 400 community members and raised more than $13,500 through the generosity of our sponsors and community donors.
Nearly 260 runners participated in the event’s one-mile fun run, competing in two separate heats. The top three finishers from each heat are pictured below and were recognized with prizes donated by our generous sponsors.
First-place finishers each received a $75 gift certificate to Lincoln Running Company. Second-place finishers received a Fleet Feet Runner’s Bag, two Fleet Feet cups, and a $25 Fleet Feet gift certificate. Third-place finishers were awarded a $25 Scheels gift card and a Gatorade water bottle.
All youth runners received Achievement Awards generously donated by Raising Cane’s, along with additional meal coupons provided by Slim Chickens.
Congratulations to all participants in the 2026 Hop, SCIP, Jump, and Run 1-Mile Fun Run! Your enthusiasm, determination, and community spirit helped make this year’s event a tremendous success.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our prize sponsors, booth holders, vendors, volunteers, participants, and supporters who joined us in making this year's event another memorable success. Whether you came to run, cheer on participants, volunteer your time, or contribute in other ways, your support helped create a fun and welcoming experience for all.
Participants enjoyed a variety of family-friendly, community-sponsored activities throughout the event. A total of 25 agencies serving the Lincoln area were present, offering engaging activities and valuable resources for attendees. SkyMart Mobile Food Truck provided a delicious selection of food, while Memory Box Photo Booth captured special moments and printed keepsake photos using a custom SCIP event template. Children and families also enjoyed face painting and balloon creations from a local balloon artist.
To enhance the event atmosphere, SCIP partnered with local radio station B107.3, which provided music and entertainment throughout the day. In addition, SCIP secured more than 50 prizes for giveaways and collected numerous donations that were distributed to participating community members.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

This event continues to raise awareness of SCIP services and behavioral health concerns that affect our schools and communities. SCIP’s mission remains to provide effective prevention education for schools, families, and communities, equipping schools with early intervention tools for students with behavioral health concerns so they may achieve healthy, productive lives. This cannot be done without the support of our sponsors, local agencies, and the community.
