Ethical Implications: Working with Criminal Justice Clients

Specialists in substance use disorder, mental health and criminal justice professions are bound by a code of ethics, especially important in the human services field. This 3 hour presentation will focus on the ethical concerns related to working with the criminal justice population. The intent is to engage professionals in a process of recognizing ethical dilemmas and participating in the use of ethical decision making on a consistent basis.

3 hours approved for clinicians on the Supreme Court of Nebraska, Office of Probation Administration's Registered Service Providers List.

This program may also meet the criteria of an approved continuing education program for certified social workers, certified master social workers, or licensed mental health practitioners for 3 contact hours. Other healthcare professionals may use their certificate of attendance to claim continuing education hours through their certifying body.
