  \n\nAbout the Presenters:\n\nRobert Hayes is the Western Region Project M
 anager for the Drug Evaluation Classification Program and employed by the 
 International Association of Chiefs of Police. In 2022\, Robert retired as
  a Patrol Lieutenant with the Albany Police Department after 32 years in l
 aw enforcement. Robert is currently a Drug recognition Expert\, Drug Recog
 nition Expert Instructor\, Standard Field Sobriety Test Instructor\, and a
  crash reconstructionist. He also teaches at the Department of Public Safe
 ty Standards and Training (Oregon Police Academy)\, as a part-time instruc
 tor. Robert Hayes will provide lessons learned from Oregon and other state
 s that have legalized marijuana\, and the impact legalization has had on Y
 outh Prevention efforts in those states.\n\nFollowing Robert Hayes' presen
 tation\, a panel will be held discussing marijuana legalization and its im
 pact on our schools and the community. Additionally\, they will discuss po
 ssible community strategies for prevention. Panelists will include local a
 nd regional stakeholders in the community\, and be facilitated by Sandy Mo
 rrissey of Region V Systems.\n\n\n'***The cost for the conference is $55 f
 or SCIP affiliated schools and agencies and $65 for non-SCIP affiliated sc
 hools and agencies. Pre-registration is required. The deadline for registr
 ation is March 18\, 2024.
