Youth & Trauma: Key Concepts in Understanding and Working with Traumatized Youth

This class is available in Norfolk, NE via video-conference.

This course will help professionals who serve adolescents to understand the prevalence of childhood trauma and its developmental impact, as well as develop key qualities and non-clinical strategies for working effectively with traumatized youth. The strategies taught in this course have been specifically designed for use in a variety of juvenile justice settings, including detention centers, shelters, and non-traditional educational settings.

3 hours approved for clinicians on the Supreme Court of Nebraska, Office of Probation Administration's Registered Service Providers List.
This program may also meet the criteria of an approved continuing education program for certified social workers, certified master social workers, or licensed mental health practitioners for 3 contact hours. Other healthcare professionals may use their certificate of attendance to claim continuing education hours through their certifying body.
